Fall Foliage Cupcake Toppers

It’s hard to believe that we are already a week into November, which means that Thanksgiving is only a few precious weeks away.  There is so much to do to get our kitchen and pantry ready for the holiday.  When thinking about the menu, my mind immediately goes to the dessert course.  Dare I even admit this?  I don’t like pumpkin pie.  Not even a tiny bit.  So, for Thanksgiving this year, I plan on offering a wide array of desserts, including mini-chocolate cupcakes (for the kids, of course *wink*).To add a festive touch, I decided to try out a quick craft- fall foliage cupcake toppers.  I printed out this clip-art image, cut out the leaf shapes that I liked, and pinned them to various orange, maroon, red and gold pieces of felt.  Once the felt leaves were cut out, I used a tiny drop of hot glue to affix them to toothpicks.  Just like that…a quick, festive way to dress up your Thanksgiving dessert offerings!
